What can you help me with?
I provide interior design services for renovations and existing homes, from early spatial planning and design concepts through to detailed documentation, finishes, joinery and construction support. The scope can include an entire home or a particular area that needs resolving.
Where do you work?
I work across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and also work remotely with clients where location allows. Many aspects of the design process can be managed remotely, with the level of in-person involvement tailored to the needs of each project.
Can I engage you for just part of my project?
Yes. Some clients engage me for the complete design process, while others need help with a particular stage or aspect of their project. We can establish what you need at the outset and tailor the scope accordingly.
What does the design process involve?
Every project is different, but generally begins with understanding your home, how you live and what you would like to achieve. From there, the design is developed through spatial planning, materials and finishes, joinery and detailing, with documentation prepared as required for pricing and construction.
Do you provide drawings and documentation?
Yes. I prepare detailed design and construction documentation for renovation and interior projects, including plans, elevations, sections, joinery details and schedules. Where specialist architectural, engineering, certification or approval services are required, I work alongside the appropriate registered professionals.
Can you work with my builder or other consultants?
Yes. I regularly liaise with builders, engineers, cabinetmakers, suppliers and other consultants to communicate the design intent, resolve details and help maintain continuity as the project moves into construction.
How are your fees structured?
Fees are tailored to the scope and complexity of each project. Once we have discussed what you would like to achieve, I can recommend an appropriate level of involvement and provide a clear fee proposal before work begins.
